Pretty crazy 27 is 3 to the third, while 127 is a prime number.
On a Bitcoin standard, your boss has to negotiate a pay cut with you. A raise may be just keeping the same salary. Either way, you have the upper hand, since doing nothing results in your salary becoming more valuable over time.
Do you know if this solves the nostr privacy issue where I can see who you dm?
I Definitely someone mentioned on Nostrica livestream integrating telegram's or signal's api into nostr to make a more private dm experience.
Or you know, dreamt it.
Okay, so the second worry i have about ecash over Liquid (has nothing to do with the code of either, just the real-world implementation) I'm worried the (location of) people who make up the federation of the the fedimint multisig aren't going to picked adversarially enough.
Obi (from Fedi) said (On Bitcoin Takeover Podcast) he pictured Fedimint custodians as trusted leaders of towns and villages. Soooo, all in the same jurisdiction? Huge risk from nation-states.
Compare this with Liquid having established businesses with skin in the game spread across the globe in multiple jurisdictions.
So best case, Fedimint custodians are spread out like Liquid's blocksigners
worse case,
they are literally neighbors in a small village.
Great episode with #[0] https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/nostrovia-the-nostr-podcast/id1678531266?i=1000605372487
I enjoyed this episode as well as seeing his talk via livestream.
Thank you for making the livestream available for all of us at home!
I can see how the comparison is dishonest. They are different projects, but there are some ways in which Liquid is different than ecash that... well I'm worried we are going to see a bunch of fedimint ruggings. Liqui's Confidential Transactions privacy is inferior to Chaumian E-Cash privacy, but you get audibility, which allows no fractional reserve-ing. I think there will be a problem with that.
As zaps come into your wallet from v4v, nostr, etc, Lightning visualization, makes a sound, more intense or color changes based on how much value zapped.
#[2]this would be a cool new coinkite art piece, I think.
Samson Mow spoke at Nostrica and mentioned January 3's work with their Aqua wallet which features Bitcoin along with Liquid Bitcoin and Liquid USDT. He refers to Liquid as 'basically ecash.' Interesting. Now of course there are some differences...
Liquid offers Confidential Transactions which hides the amount as well as the asset type. However, the sender and receiver are visible on a bitcoin-style blockchain, unlike ecash.
I do like however how the member's of Liquid's multisig federation is geographically distributed to reduce nation state pressure.
I also like how they are established businesses with skin in the game.
Finally, while ecash offers near-perfect privacy, it has no audibility. This allows for mints to inflate at will, unlike Liquid.
So, they both have their differences. Truthfully, if we are talking about large amounts of money, the fact that you can be sure there is no fractional reserve-ing is pretty important.
I do, however see the privacy gain benefits ecash offers for spending. As far as products in the Bitcoin-space go, Chaumian E-Cash promises better privacy than anything else.
I saw this picture, and I thought it was a visualizer for zaps notifications. It's not.
But that would be pretty cool, right? Especially if you made it with real Lightning, you know the Lightning in a globe thing?

I think I commented on the wrong commented. I have trouble with this still.
Got ya. I mean. I worry it will eventually get purged from the mempool though if you don't bump up the fee.
Thanks to everyone involved with streaming Nostrica.
BTW, because Nostrica is a play on Costa Rica, it should probably only be Nostrica if it's held in Costa Rica.
But that's just my opinion, and I wasn't there, so I can't be accused of being a Nostrica gatekeeper or anything like that.
Are we still saying gm to #[0]?
I'm late again, aren't I?
Dammit.
We don't own Nostr, we share it.
