Human being who lives her life by The Golden Rule. I am better than no one, and no one is better than me.

And that's fine, if you can maintain a perspective of those things as "a thing about which a bunch of scientific types were full of shit" and not "unassailable aspect of my personal identity"

nostr:npub1ej68dzernetvgqh3gpk006eh509jnmyzptwqcsr7y772vtf3j2dqpxpvaa Nope. You're definitely not the only one. I'm constantly interrogating things I learned growing up to root out stupidity and white supremacy. We all need to ask where ideas/beliefs really come from. We went to school here. We all were taught things that were wrong.

nostr:npub199d7lh2hxsnrd6qa8eyw9ptq6xj5snfgmvpttuy656javaqgrk4qrgxwjc There are only a couple of arenas in this country where Black people are actually allowed to succeed - music and athletics. And, I said ALLOWED. We're virtually locked out of everything else. Sure, there are some, but the struggle they've endured is ridiculous. Also, while some have titles, the question is do they have power?

Allowing people to entertain white people, either through song or athletics, is not equality.

If you grew up here, were socialized here, it's impossible to not have been/be affected by the racist undercurrent that exists in every single arena in this nation. nostr:npub109mzhdpmtdydddkx0r8r60m7ejhlyaudyhk3xkevg0ylstyg033snqpyxm

My kids told me they didn't realize their lives were a combo play of many different ways of seeing things/doing things until college. nostr:npub1hverte66k9km8a46cam7qqu8h86rk22ugrxn9dajz9xwh374ydgszxlgwc

The only people fooled by racism is the racist.

Racism is an embarrassing weakness.

"Scapegoating" is the American word for oppressing.
