Human being who lives her life by The Golden Rule. I am better than no one, and no one is better than me.

Spain isn't perfect, by any stretch of the imagination, but I just don't feel so much free-wheeling hate around here.

nostr:npub1qy53t5xgt2vl99rwss9uhenll6d79va6xw9hclfgw0m7e2lkf3eq2cqq3x I spend a lot of my time in Spain. Nope, it's not perfect, but I've always been able to feel like a human being there. I've always been able to explore myself without all the labels. It's been my sanity home for 40 years.

Did the short-fingered vulgarian make tiny, little fingerprints?🤔

I want all seditionist co-defendants to go completely BROKE.

nostr:npub1qy53t5xgt2vl99rwss9uhenll6d79va6xw9hclfgw0m7e2lkf3eq2cqq3x I haven't been there in a few years, but it always sucked for me. My husband had a trip there in the last few and I told him to take his sister, because I've had enough of their shit.

DeSantis is fucking over fire fighters for giggles (they're notoriously GOP voters btw) and apparently the way the money flows Disney is paying for both sides of the lawsuit against DeSantis.

The fight against Disney may well be his undoing especially since his golden geese like Musk and Thiel are souring on him and might not shield him from the wrath of Mouse.

The people I met through my sister that worked there talked about how they were taken advantage of with bad salaries and very little/no healthcare.

nostr:npub189nhq0cw33243htm08c53vjvgc5letv7d9sgqtgqsn6fnx6dv8zs0fsatx You make such an excellent point. In Vietnam, there was absolutely NO hatred. No judgement that she was anything other than a good human being with an aesthetically unfortunate skin tone. And in Vietnam it has to do with tone - because poor people who work outside, of course, have darker skin.

nostr:npub1qy53t5xgt2vl99rwss9uhenll6d79va6xw9hclfgw0m7e2lkf3eq2cqq3x Yep. There's also curiosity, which makes sense. If you see someone who looks different, in a way you've only heard about, of course you want to see, have questions. That's not offensive.

nostr:npub189nhq0cw33243htm08c53vjvgc5letv7d9sgqtgqsn6fnx6dv8zs0fsatx It took me a while to comprehend the distinction. Because on the surface, it felt like the racism was even more overt, but she said that an aesthetic opinion is a different, and to her, less offensive kind of racism.

nostr:npub1qy53t5xgt2vl99rwss9uhenll6d79va6xw9hclfgw0m7e2lkf3eq2cqq3x Yep. I get that. I've had people in other nations touch me and stare at me too absent the intense hatred that I feel here. Of course the entire world is racist, but it's measured in degrees. My home nation is the worst place for me in my experience.

nostr:npub1qy53t5xgt2vl99rwss9uhenll6d79va6xw9hclfgw0m7e2lkf3eq2cqq3x I've been treated better almost anywhere else I've been on the planet - except England.
