That ThinkCentre box I wrote about, I use it as a basic router with OpenWRT installed right now; seems to be beefy enough to handle all the gigabit traffic without hardware switch anywhere. Recently ordered one of these chink boxes with a fresh quad-core Celeron as a replacement and might try my luck with opnSense on it; if I get filtered by it, it'll be OpenWRT time again.
