I’m not a farmer and don’t have a strong understanding, but after listening to a recent Mises podcast (The Human Action Podcast) on the subject of healthcare, I’ll chime in anyway. Lol.
There were some parallels, but can’t think of a parallel solution.
Involvement in the market by the government only serves to interfere with market signals and creative destruction; no matter how well-intentioned the intervention is. I think I’ve heard you cover this in past podcasts, and was reminded of another government intervention by a friend that was particularly interesting to those living in Missouri.
We store 1.4 billion pounds of cheese in Missouri caves!! I had no idea. Interesting example of Government intervention and waste.
Insurance is a great idea. Government subsidized insurance sounds cheesy. 😏
But if you’re trying to run a farm and compete within our current system I’d imagine you’ll jump at the opportunity. Just like you’d use glyphosate to increase crop yields. How else can you compete in our system. Also reminds me nostr:npub1s05p3ha7en49dv8429tkk07nnfa9pcwczkf5x5qrdraqshxdje9sq6eyhe comments on not being able to change a bad system from within. Not suggesting a solution aside from these discussions and consumer education. Just hoping we can find a way to support our local producers and provide healthier food and topsoil.
Here’s the podcast link on healthcare. Love how this doctor is changing the healthcare system. Also reminds me of the efforts of nostr:npub1q7xqc79rteknhs5s4rsqju2yu8tuguvptu373napkzptsz65yn2qz590jl

I know I’d be disincentivized to work if either of the following are the case.
• The money I’m earning is stealing from me
• My property rights are ignored
Thanks for the update, and while I’m at it thanks for the guide!! Big help!!
So true! Everyone I know whose paid $1K for a fridge in the last decade has had to replace it.
Same people have an extra pre-1980’s fridge in their garage that is still working. They just don’t have the shag carpet to match.
Likely since we are about number 35 in the world despite spending more on ed than any other nation this can't be any worse.

If by education you mean indoctrination. That would explain the ranking. I bet we’re #1 in indoctrination. 🏆
Imprint the bar and then melt it :-)
Running SimpleX (self-hosted) and Signal, but it’s easier to get friends and family on Signal.
Not having IDs in SimpleX is a paradigm shift, and it can be difficult to get past for some. It’d be great if it catches on, but its model isn’t meant for discoverability by design. Web of trust, one contact at a time.
You can’t have free speech with centralized media.
You can’t have centralized media without the threat of socialism.

So much gaming in the hiring market. Many times the position you’re being offered isn’t even available. Often they have the candidate arranged before the job is even posted. In other cases they’re just collecting information. At least those don’t involve interviews to waste your time.
Hopefully it’s a job in bitcoin, they know your worth and will start respecting your time. Good luck!
