Yeah, with Windows I would go with Bitdefender. I used it in the final years too.

Concur with this, although I’d suggest Fedora or Debian.

If you’re using Windows, just stick with Defender.

If it's possible just use Linux. I switched from Windows 3 years ago to Ubuntu then a year ago to #PopOS and it's working even better. I think PopOS is the most user friendly Linux from a Windows user perspective.
