Saving Bitcoin is using Bitcoin.

What I find fascinating is that as a Timechain it's like a clock, in an abstract way of course & even though it doesn't tell the exact time in a way we've grown accustomed to, approximately every 10 minutes a new block is created marking another event throughout the history of space and time. As long as a single machine run by a human being (or some other life form) continues to operate, Bitcoin will continue to record time.

Depending on your Nostr client you will have a feed for people you follow and another for everyone and everything else often called global. I’m using Damus on iPhone and the meme joke was referring to all of the SPAM that was there before the option to filter by paid relays. I was able to come across your post because I filtered my global feed to paid relays only where spammers won’t pay to gain access and therefore there is no SPAM.

If you ever wondered whether or not the Twitter algorithm was actually affecting your mood or influencing your behavior, just look at Nostr.

I see numerous posts daily saying how much more calm it is here or that they chose a peaceful reply to something annoying or not to reply at all.

I also see many posts expressing relief that there are few posts about politics and how nice it is to not see invasive advertisements.

Some time ago I posted on Twitter that once a viable alternative arrived, that I would move. Mastodon never really caught on and it’s structure is actually very centralized with instance operators banning others deemed unacceptable.

Nostr feels like home and it is the only thing since Bitcoin that has gotten me really excited for what is possible and gives me hope that we can build a future together worth living in.
