I’m a #newbie right now, but learning and developing prototype, I’ll be posting content too about building on #nostr. It’s important for adoption.
So many wonderful apps running on #nostr:
But they are mostly the same type of app.
What should I work on to #grownostr
App ideas?
Created a Lightning address wallet/account for my son, he is currently 2 months old. And the wonderful thing is, `Laurent` is not taken https://getalby.com/p/laurent #newbie #grownostr
Thanks #[0] for this wonderful guide https://worldtravelambitions.notion.site/worldtravelambitions/How-to-Set-Up-Nostr-Using-GetAlby-and-Snort-social-c3fabb2ecc8d465dba0e73a3f1c2558a
Isn’t all investor elevator pitch whats and whys and no hows
For social media and chat applications, it requires network effect for mass adoption. What would you do to make more users join #nostr network?
#[0] what do you think it takes to get main stream adoption, especially those no tech folks like my mother, how would you ask them to explore #nostr and keeping their keys safe?
Bluesky is not great. The team decides who gets to try the platform, and they ban people for various reasons, such as saying GM to too many people. #Nostr is the way to go.
4th day building on #Nostr.
Gotten NIP04 to work end to end.
Tested communicating between my test app and #[1] and #iris (#[3])
Wonderful how different clients uses the same protocol just works well together.
the only thing that matters is that it works and solves some problems that a population needs.
It’s Saturday. Doesn’t stop me building on #Nostr
Most of the basic features now done at https://new.iris.to . Still need to improve content loading (let's see if https://github.com/adamritter/nostr-relaypool-ts helps) and add relay management + auth.
Rewrite took a while and wasn't always fun, but the code is a lot more maintainable now and hopefully easier for new contributors.

Where to find a list of features you have in mind? I can see how I can contribute
Rebuilding the Iris user interface on Tailwind and modern build tools: https://new.iris.to/

Currently it's Iris only on the surface, no web of trust or other characteristic features yet.
The code is forked from https://nostribe.com — thanks to nostr:npub18c556t7n8xa3df2q82rwxejfglw5przds7sqvefylzjh8tjne28qld0we7 ! Much easier to work with than the old Iris codebase.
Also thanks to nostr:npub1xdtducdnjerex88gkg2qk2atsdlqsyxqaag4h05jmcpyspqt30wscmntxy for the nostr.band trending API and nostr:npub1dcl4zejwr8sg9h6jzl75fy4mj6g8gpdqkfczseca6lef0d5gvzxqvux5ey for https://rbr.bio/ API and relays.
If you'd like to help with the rewrite, you can submit pull requests here (no bug reports please 😆) : https://github.com/mmalmi/iris-nextjs . It's fun!
Where to find a list of features you have in mind? I’ll see if I could work on any of them.
Thinking about main stream no tech folks, like my mother, how would you ask them to explore #nostr and keeping their keys safe?
#nostr has definitely attracted me to build here
#proofofwalk
Embarrassing if you compare this against #[2] and #[3] 😝

For “Amazon” what could be some things people could buy/sell on a decentralised market, other than NFTs.
