Finally, after 11+ years of #FreeRoss, #ROSSisFree ✨🏴‍☠️ Storyteller researching the intersections of #Nostr #bitcoin and other open systems. it isn’t about #Bitcoin, it’s about enabling individuals in a new way, for which Bitcoin is a tool⚡️. #Noderunner, #Hivetalk contributor Create a lot of my own #memes 🙈 Been spending a lot of time building @theBridge I don’t answer to DMs of people i don’t know.

Been looking forwards to this one ✨📚

Sometimes i don’t get exactly what the stuff you say implies so I asked ChatGPT ‘s Nostr NIP guide👇

Here was its reply:

“The statement “took me a while, but I just implemented Nostr Wallet Connect in NDK” suggests a few key points about the work performed by the individual, Pablof7z. Let’s break it down for clarity:

1. Nostr Wallet Connect: This likely refers to integrating functionality related to Nostr (Notes and Other Stuff Transmitted by Relays) with a wallet application. Nostr is an open protocol that facilitates decentralized social networking and messaging. Implementing “Wallet Connect” could imply enabling a wallet (digital wallet for cryptocurrencies or tokens) to interact with Nostr-based applications or services, allowing users to authenticate, sign, or perform transactions within the Nostr network.

2. NDK: NDK stands for Native Development Kit, a toolset that allows developers to implement parts of their app using native-code languages such as C or C++. In the context of Android development, the NDK enables integrating C or C++ libraries into an application. This can be for performance reasons, to reuse existing code, or to access low-level system resources and functionalities.

Therefore, when Pablof7z says they “just implemented Nostr Wallet Connect in NDK,” it means they have successfully integrated the ability for a digital wallet to interact with Nostr services or functionalities by writing or adapting parts of the application in native code (C/C++) using the Native Development Kit. This could enhance the application’s performance, security, or enable it to use functionalities not directly accessible through the higher-level programming languages typically used for app development. The phrase “took me a while” indicates that this was a challenging task that required significant effort and time to complete.”

After that reply, i asked it to explain Pablo’s note simplified for a kid.

Not worried about bitcoin becoming a new fiat because supposedly no government to change the 21million supply…

More worried about regulation over self-custody and privacy of transactions, which will come regardless of wether they stack sats😅

I think easy combinations of ticketing/subscription models that people are already used should be customizable according to different needs from value creators. Making it easily recognizable for onboarding regular people.

Having the tipping functionality is awesome for spur of the moment :)

Plus all the new ways we haven’t even come up with ⚡️💜

Is that why Amethyst won’t touch it? 😅

So... i was able to zap and get zapped fine until recently on my IOs device. i used to navigate between nostr:npub18m76awca3y37hkvuneavuw6pjj4525fw90necxmadrvjg0sdy6qsngq955 + nostr:npub1wxl6njlcgygduct7jkgzrvyvd9fylj4pqvll6p32h59wyetm5fxqjchcan and other times i's use nostr:npub12vkcxr0luzwp8e673v29eqjhrr7p9vqq8asav85swaepclllj09sylpugg 's old version linked to an nostr:npub1getal6ykt05fsz5nqu4uld09nfj3y3qxmv8crys4aeut53unfvlqr80nfm wallet...

perfect compatibility with my desktop clients 👌

then i update to nostr:npub12vkcxr0luzwp8e673v29eqjhrr7p9vqq8asav85swaepclllj09sylpugg 's new version (slick UX and easy of use by the way!🫶 great job on the release!!💜)

and although i love that new users can themselves be onboarded much easier i couldn't find any place to put my own nostr:npub1getal6ykt05fsz5nqu4uld09nfj3y3qxmv8crys4aeut53unfvlqr80nfm address on it.

Can it be that since i have on nostr:npub12vkcxr0luzwp8e673v29eqjhrr7p9vqq8asav85swaepclllj09sylpugg their default address, it's giving errors in me getting zapped?

No problem zapping on my part 😅

#asknostr

i don't remember in which pod i heard (think it was nostr:npub14kw5ygpl6fyqagh9cnrytyaqyacg46lzkq42vz7hk8txdk49kzxs04j7y0 ) that there is someone gathering the clashes between #nostr clients.

is that true?

who is that someone ?
