Build your own airgapped, stateless bitcoin signing device for less than most hardware wallets. 🤘 Not set up for zaps, if you'd like to donate to our contributors please go to https://donate.seedsigner.com

I will be sharing personal takes and other non-SeedSigner related items using this account.

Bona fides for this new identity can be found in the note below. nostr:note1v08fry60tl9xe5hvrhxtwjxkfml6nh5e4d6ghrzg4u0jgmw99fxqwlmksq

Easy is an amazing designer, contributor to our project, and a solid dude besides. Can’t wait for this. nostr:note1kcl8c47rss2p6uclq0envytlr8hpfc2p7wd2jpjkyq0qvx59mk3s88l9g4

Appreciate Max having me on the nostr:npub1jcympy69pht7ptan39se4nd09e4q66qhey649uu3rczm2zh88c7s0n2890 pod for a chat. 🧡

I just created a brand new Nostr account with Primal, selected “bitcoin“ as my interest, and the new account was automatically configured to follow 56 people, which included Pavlenex (who is an awesome dude). It’s good to be in the club if you’re in the club, but I'm also left wondering if Primal can be or is used to de-emphasize some voices or topics as well. nostr:note1c8zcjl4qyztady7u6p7a4v8sawweh5fjt8asf74ppsp7dqf2zkks0eef38

Giving people the opportunity to put less trust in centralized third parties is not "UX regression".

When a commercial HWW verifies firmware/software at power-on, users are trusting they're using authentic hardware, and they're outsourcing the verification process to the same entity that produces both the hardware and the software.

For many users these choices will make sense, but for some they won't -- it's good for people to have options to choose from.

Any safety concerns there? Don't know what to believe based on things i see / hear.

The read-only CD backup is a clever idea. The shelf-life of optical discs isn't terribly long but could be a good fit for this use case. 🧡 nostr:note16rgspfwdvh2t6a3sh2z8urq826yrjuejaacsdepv8pw6lhn76jhqf3z9vh

TLDR for those who missed this:

. RPi 0, 0W, 02W, 2 & 3 have permanent ROM that is burned in at the factory

. "Firmware" is split between the Pi AND the microSD

. Verifying the code on the microSD is authentic is vital, but simple

. Sharing a signer is not ideal, but can be viable w/ trusted 3rd parties nostr:note1jkxrv339ujzqkja4a0hn43vehrfhwfz7tzfd0w08ua84qafnz4usrdfpsl

For clarity, the SeedSigner only stores keys temporarily until power is disconnected, but it does make getting comfortable with multisig a lot easier. ☺️ nostr:note1uraaev3rn4uz3446p3n8jef7r68dxajtangu9nflsgmd84cnsqsq6uuywq

Last few have been a little jarring -- really appreciate my ride-or-die SeedSigner peeps, you know who you are. 🧡

This made me LoL. In seriousness, I appreciate all of the pods who have had me or someone else from the project on as a guest, especially those who have a HWW sponsor and are still willing to talk about other options. 🧡 nostr:note1dv8qa0nt26ty9ualwzrlh0g3kuval9xkt0wtejzhzg406daunm6qfuzun6

An older version of this Scosche Rhythm heart rate monitor: https://a.co/d/i4NmUeH

And FITIV Pulse app.

I found the watch heart rate monitors to be too slow to catch changes which really screws you on zone running. They probably have inconsistent readings as the watch moves around. I wear this monitor on my forearm, near the elbow. Def stays put. And it's more comfortable and convenient than the chest strap style monitor.

Appreciate this a ton. I don't have an apple watch any more so I've been keeping my eye out for an alternative for that function.
