Haven't looked at the NIP. Is it possibly to zap millisats? Like can i zap 100.5 sats? Do clients actually display it? Comment and I'll test it on your note.

Anyone actually try to do any form of accounting on their lightning node? What tools do you use? Or is everyone still at the point where as long as you don't lose a ton of sats, you don't care?

They don't actually exist onchain. So you can't really account for them. And you cant record them on the node level because they exist separately within each channel. You may or may not lose millisats each time you close a channel.

Millisats are a conspiracy by miners to get an extra sat tip upon each channel close.

I think it's time to stop recommending 1 TB hard drives to people running nodes. Just realized mine are both 90% full with just the indexers and an app or two. Time to upgrade to 2 TB.

If you had direct deposit to your lightning node and software automating your bills, would you prefer low fees or timely/lower amount withdraws to cold storage.
