On Amethyst, you can see who zapped you by going to your profile and clicking on the "Zaps" tab. I would assume the other apps have this feature too.
MessagePack is good, otherwise one of the ASN.1 encoding seems reasonable, especially given the association with cryptography (e.g. DER).

I changed my password on a legacy social media account and was immediately locked out for "safety". Probably because I used a VPN. Now they want me to upload an image of my government ID. But my ID doesn't match my account perfectly, so I may have just lost an entire decade of "my" data.
