it's called October because it's the 8th month of the year

It's followed by November and December because those are the 9th and 10th months of the year

I don't think camps are likely

Prosecutions are likely where there is clear evidence that comes to public attention

I think the root issue is that "we" bombed their pipeline so they don't have cheap energy to power their industrial sectors

I think in many places you don't get to keep anything and you don't see a running vote total - so you just have to trust/hope that the machine is adding everything up faithfully

One aspect of carnivore is getting plenty of quality nutrients, which I'm sure this achieves

Another aspect is getting rid of things that give you problems. Meat, cheese and vinegar are probably all fine. If you don't have any problems with tumeric or cucumber then this is probably fine.

Markets are efficient in the sense that markets clear (or nearly clear) - everyone who is willing to sell at or below the market price and everyone who is willing to buy at or above the market price will do so.

Markets are not efficient in the sense that everyone who "should" buy or sell will actually do so. The stocks (or other marketable products) which are the best value don't necessarily get advertised to the purchasers who are best suited for them.

Consequently, no special conspiracy or market failure is needed to explain why stock-pickers (or goldbugs, or bond investors, etc) might make money (if they have good principles and the fortitude to follow them).

The market value of Bitcoin depends on adoption and sentiment to a greater degree than that of gold

If investment demand for gold went to zero, you could still sell it to dentists to fill teeth or computer manufacturers to plate electrical contacts

Bitcoin has no such safety net

Bitcoin is riskier

If you want to gamble on maybe becoming rich, that's the one to go for

Gold is more stable

If you want to preserve wealth, that's the one to go for

I've been thinking a lot about the bleakness of GRRM / Game of Thrones in a similar light.

I think in the leftist worldview there are no heroes, nobody with a real moral compass or conscience (except maybe briefly as a sucker).

Perhaps this is why they attribute malicious intention to so many things that non-cultists do. Perhaps they just don't understand why people would do things except for cult status or personal gain.

No nails needed - they brought their own superglue
