My pastor used to always quote this verse and promote Dave Ramseys "Financial Peace University".
It is a good idea not to get into frivolous consumer debt. However, with fiat money, even the SAVER is a slave to the lender.
Those who save money are still slaves to the central bankers because ultimately the supply and value of their money is in the hands of a cabal of uber rich elites.
As @theRealKiyosaki says, "Why would I save something someone else can just print?"

When money is decreed, manipulated, created and centrally controlled all those who work for that money become slaves to their policies.
Enslaving people by stealing their labor and wealth IS SIN.
How does the Gospel inform how we view this? Christ died and rose again to redeem and restore all creation. This includes MONEY.
As gospel people, we need to be advancing God's kingdom standards in all areas of life, even money!
When Christ is hailed as King in the land, justice flows like a river and the peoples are glad! Why? Because when redeemed people redeem culture He brings blessing, prosperity, life and FREEDOM.
Bitcoin is the most just and fair monetary system we have. No other monetary system better embodies God's law concerning money.

When Jesus said, "Sell everything and give to the poor..." it doesn't mean what you were told it means.... Here's the context 👇
When Jesus entered Judea a rich young ruler approached him and asked how to inherit eternal life. Jesus told Him,
"You know the commandments: ‘Do not murder, Do not commit adultery, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Do not defraud, Honor your father and mother.’ ” (Mark 10:19)
The rich young man said, "I have kept these from my youth!"
Then Jesus looked at him and LOVED him and said, "You lack one thing: go, sell all that you have and give to the POOR, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow me.” (Mark 10:21)
The man went away sorrowful because he was very rich. Jesus then says,
"It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter the kingdom of God.” (Mark 10:25)
People were astonished asking, "Who then can be saved?" Now that's a peculiar question, did the people think rich people enter the Kingdom before poor people? No, this is where context matters.
The rich young ruler was not just a rich guy. He wasn't a builder who made his wealth contributing to the regions economy. He was a "ruler," part of the Sanhedrin, the religious ruling elite in Jerusalem. The people were astonished because Jesus said, THESE rich people have difficulty entering the kingdom.
But this rich young ruler was a religious elite, inheriting his seat of religious esteem from familial lineage! How can HE not enter the kingdom???
Jesus told him to "NOT DEFRAUD" and "NOT STEAL." Why? Because that is PRECISELY how his wealth was acquired. A sophisticated religious racket had formed which this young ruler became wealthy on.
When Jesus told him to sell everything and give to the poor, essentially what He said was, "Sell everything you gained by fraud, and give it BACK to those you stole from!" He was calling him to REPENT!
This is not a blanket condemnation of wealth, but a specific condemnation of fraud, especially fraud perpetrated by ruling elites and those who become wealthy without adding real value.
Jesus never condemns wealthy people who WORKED for their wealth, only those who were societal leeches.
Fiat money amplifies this sort of fraud with an infinite money printer. #Bitcoin mitigates this with finality of supply and value creation incentives!!!
The suffering that central bank imperialism has foisted upon mankind is REAL SUFFERING!
Fiat money is propped up on the blood, suffering and misery of human beings made in God's image.
Men work their whole lives, save their money, only to have the government swoop in, fire up the money printer and devalue their life's work.
This is a grievous and evil sin. This is an injustice that must end. It is an abomination...
As the church of Jesus Christ we cannot sit silently by while lives, families and nations are ravished and pillaged by this wicked and evil system.
We need to bring the truth of God's word to bear. God's word demands we use a fair and just weight. Why? In love of God and our neighbours.
#Bitcoin is the most fair and just weight we have. #Bitcoin is "love your neighbour" money.
Jesus reserves His most VIOLENT language when dealing with sexual sin.
When dealing with lust Jesus counsels, "And if your right hand/eye causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away. For it is better that you lose one of your members than that your whole body go into hell." (Matthew 5:30)
Jesus uses this shocking violent language to try to wake us up to the reality of the relentless nature of this beast.
Jesus is saying, "You must be absolutely merciless in slaying this beast, you cannot negotiate with lust."
This is the same principle found in the story of Joseph and Potiphars wife. When she grabbed him and tried to seduce him, Joseph did his best Forrest Gump impression and just RAN. 🏃 He knew if he stayed, the temptation would overcome him.
Today men are faced with a pernicious enemy in porn. Porn is a merciless beast that wants to devour your mind. Jesus counsel is the same to you today, match and exceed the beasts merciless attack, with a merciless attack of your own. ⚔️
Ask yourself what needs to be cut off and plucked out. Is it an app? I don't know, but it's better to lose Twitter than your whole body be thrown into hell. 🤷♂️
You must HATE 🤬 porn and attack every point of temptation with merciless intensity.
I am currently working on and almost finished a comprehensive online course aimed at tackling and overcoming pornography ONCE AND FOR ALL!
I struggled with porn myself for well over a decade and I am on a mission to see AT LEAST 1 million men freed from this devouring beast!!!

I am compelled by my Christian faith to be a Bitcoiner! Here are the top 5 reasons why as a Christian I MUST use, advocate and promote #Bitcoin 👇
1. There is no other monetary network that conforms to God's monetary policy as well as #Bitcoin . Bitcoin is a fair and just measure, it cannot be manipulated or counterfeited. 1 Bitcoin is 1 Bitcoin. (Deuteronomy 25:13-16)
2. Bitcoin removes monetary policy out of the hands of sinful men, I don't need to trust you to transact with you. Bitcoin is the first money to account for the depravity of man, a revolutionary part of Bitcoin that doesn't get as much attention as it should.
3. Bitcoin separates money and state. Bitcoin returns money back to being an invention of the free market. Using #Bitcoin is a voluntary choice, the way God intended. (Genesis 13:2)
4. Bitcoin is decentralized. No one rules the Bitcoin network, anyone can participate in it regardless. Bitcoin is rules without rulers.
5. Bitcoin is the most moral monetary network. I used to say the dollar was backed by bullets. How could I as a Christian promote a monetary system propped up on injustice and violence? When given the choices we have, Bitcoin is by far the most moral God-honoring monetary network.
Not a single bullet has to be shot to ensure Bitcoin works. Bitcoin doesn't need armies with tanks and missiles to defend it, only an army of computers!
Once I saw understood the immoral nature of the fiat network, and the honest and just nature of the Bitcoin network, I couldn't unsee it.

I got married when I was 24. Although my wife and I are Christians we bought into the worldly wisdom of, "Wait to have kids, enjoy your life." smh 🤦♂️
Fiat money inflation has left many people thinking, "I can't afford kids, plus the world is so screwed up, why bother!"
Children are viewed as just a burden and a hindrance to living your best life. This sort of thinking is high time preference, loser thinking.
Children ought to be viewed as an investment. My brothers, we talk so much about the importance of hodling #Bitcoin through hard times, and rightfully so. We can see the future value being worth the patience.
How much more children! Yes it is hard in the beginning. Crying babies, tantrums and inconveniences abound. But those who are wise will understand the value of this investment.

#Bitcoin, the great blindspot in modern #Christianity . 👇
I have been in pastoral ministry for over a decade. In all my time I have been involved in many righteous causes, anti-abortion work, anti-porn work, mens ministries etc. And I am still involved in these causes!
But in all this, modern Christianity has a blind spot, monetary policy. When I learned how wicked and anti-bible the fiat monetary system was, it shook me. How did I miss this pervasive and pernicious injustice?
I began to speak to my congregation and help them to understand that fiat money was a moral injustice that God abhors. Their response was shocking! Some learned eagerly, others were offended and left the church!
Some just couldn't accept that the money they work so hard for, comes out of a beastly, unGodly system. They were unwilling to learn, they were TOO SPIRITUAL for the money talk.
Even now many Christians don't see this as an issue the Church should be speaking into. It's not a "gospel issue."
Right, because a beastly institution controlling money, enriching themselves, and impoverishing the poor more and more is not a "gospel issue." It's not like Jesus would have flipped tables in the temple over an issue like this.....
God's monetary policy is to use "a perfect and just weight." A money that is fair, equal and not manipulated to steal value from people.
I can't think of a more perfect and just weight than #Bitcoin. I can't think of a monetary network, that more perfectly embodies the principles of honesty, integrity and probity than #bitcoin.
Too be clear, #bitcoin is not the blind spot, but it has certainly EXPOSED the blind spot. We must repent from our apathy to the injustices in our land, and fiat money is a BIG one we've ignored for far too long......
So the government can print money and never has to pay it back.
The banks can create money and loan it to you to buy a house, and you have to pay it back with interest.
But if you print money, thats illegal, its counterfeiting... If you print money the government will pay armed thugs with the money THEY printed to lock you in a cage. They will take the money they printed and use it to pay for that cage and to pay more armed thugs to keep you in that cage and they will also pay for your food too. ALL WITH MONEY THEY PRINTED!
They will do all this to you, because you printed money they didn't authorize you to print. Only THEY can print money!
Do you see how perniciously unjust and evil the entire fiat system is??? How can a Christian not oppose such an unGodly and anti-Christ financial system???
