German Military Officer Suspected of Spying for russia

The BBC has learned he is not the only convict freed early to fight, pardoned and then accused of reoffending.

russia has blamed Ukraine for a spate of arson attacks on military recruitment centres, alleging that callers in Ukraine are tricking elderly russians into committing such crimes.

Update: 7 killed, 67 injured in russian attack on Pokrovsk

Ukraine's Interior Ministry reported that at least seven people were killed in russian strike on #Pokrovsk in Donetsk Oblast on Aug 7

The ministry added that the number of wounded increased to 67, and includes two children, 29 police officers, and seven emergency workers

The central part of Pokrovsk was hit at least twice in less than an hour in the evening of Aug 7

On the Day of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of #Ukraine President Volodymyr #Zelenskyy observed modern weapons and military equipment used by the Ukrainian defenders of the sky, talked to the warriors, and took part in the cancellation of the "Fighters of Evil" postage stamp set.

He was presented with a symbol of invincibility, a helmet, with signatures of the Air Force servicemen who received the title of Hero of Ukraine
