today marks my official 2 years on #nostr
here are my 2 year stats
i started my npub completely ignorant to bitcoin. i just turned 22 years old, i had zero care for self sovereignty. bitcoin was at 22k on the day i joined.
originally i joined to see if this was an avenue for people in iran to be able to freely express themselves without fear of persecution from the regime. today, we have numerous of beautiful iranians here proving their freedom, despite the threat.
through the community i was taught bitcoin. regular people, just like me, took time to teach me about self sovereignty, not because they were getting anything out of it, but because they genuinely believe in its value to the world.
seeing the enthusiasm of these kind people made me enthusiastic. that first week, i decided to buy my first bitcoin on nostr:npub1cashappn03s3cl2ljsdntv0v28e2um5lgx4vjctqjt23pcwzjhsqmtdg5l.
Now, my life has changed for the better because of it. Because of nostr, because of the PEOPLE of nostr.
thank you to everyone on here who has showed me the kindness i never felt or seen on the internet , despite being raised online. there are far too many people to count.
