Point 7: teach your significant other how to do all these things and push for them to learn the seed words as well as all passphrases.

Note: not easily done, took me a good couple of years. Now we both load the hardware wallet with our seed words a few times a year to make sure we still can get to our money. The wallet is 99% of the time empty, using factory reset.
