Press.coop puts out some quality RSS #news feeds on Mastodon, from top news agencies around the world. They may be automated (bot) posts, but you can reply / engage with other followers, or boost them with comments etc.
Actually they are AS GOOD as the genuine news companies, as which news company has ever actually replied to you?

My view on Threads, IG and Meta joining the fediverse has evolved as I started to realize that the animosity between IG and nostr:npub120zh308gs69j3vwgvvrzgglv58vsk3q0vef43uajyu0lc3mtldsq2p33r2 may just be in my head.
My past actions of overly dramaticized posts about IG blocking our hashtag and the filter renaming thing were due to my own interpretation of intimidation, when really there could be technical/logical explanations that prove otherwise.
I will give them the benefit of the doubt, if not for me, for the fediverse, and Pixelfed users/admins.

Some users may want to connect with friends and family there, and others not. Each should be able to decide and exercise that choice - a bit like a democracy. If I don't follow any Threads accounts, how do they harm, my feed? What I post is public as we don't have walled pay-gardens, and I'm sure they can access it already if they wish.
