Since conf I’ve noticed there are people taking notes on our notes detailing all the excellent experiences we’ve had together and these guys are soliciting us on Twitter etc posing with clone accounts as influential community members.

I understand most of us are aware, just wanted to remind everyone just in case. If you get DMs cross platform from whales, devs, influencers, educators, btcqts make sure you verify!

They often can’t help opening with vague questions pertaining to “the market” “portfolio” buzzwords because they are eager to filter through their lists to find dumbasses to scam.

Don’t trust.

One small suggestion: Can you please move away from using imgur for pictures? With recent events, imgur doesn't seem to be playing well with #nostr notes. You could use nostr.build or void.cat instead.

I have finished the Wallet Connect (NIP-47) feature in more-speech. You can now get a wallet-connect URI from alby and past it into your more-speech profile. Then you can zap, zap, zap without copying and pasting invoices.

Thanks to #[2] and #[3] who provided invaluable help when I got stuck trying to figure out what was what and who was who.

@fiataf I have submitted a PR for NIP-47 that provides my "Observations from the Field" as well as many clarifications for the next guy...

What can be done with this:

Subscribe to interesting people for you, block bitcoiners. Just subscribed to you. One example - @freeofbtc #freeofbtc

Backup your Nostr private keys.

Use meaningful tags.

Use https://zappedit.com/feed - you can block posts by tags there. But it is site, not app.

Select relays without bitcoin bullshit.

Run your own relay with your own rules and people.

As the dev of zappedit, I am happy to discover your post, specifically talking about muting the #bitcoin hashtag :)

Is there anything else our devs can do to make #nostr interesting for newbies and non-bitcoiners?

PS: Few days ago, I changed the name to zapddit (similar to reddit) based on the feedback from users. Now, it is https://zapddit.com (old site redirects to the new site now)

PPS: You can also install zapddit in your mobile as it is a PWA (Progressive Web App). Open zapddit on your browser and look for Install App in the browser's menu. This will install it as an app on your mobile phone.
