A proof of work project can be anything. What are your goals? What is something you are working towards? If it’s not something you prefer to keep private, share it with the world. Show your progress, let people know things don’t happen overnight. Show up every day and put in the work. The effort will reveal itself in the form of a completed project or goal, whatever that may be.

People feed off of energy. When too much negative energy is put out, people turn nihilistic and negative, so put out something positive. Show people you are working towards something, anything, every day and it will motivate others to do the same. This makes you better and it makes others better, a rising tide lifts all ships. This is proof of work, in my humble opinion.

Failed this morning. Made up for it in the afternoon.

Bitcoin found me at an interesting time.

I am at a crossroads in my personal and professional life. I discovered Bitcoin and was so fascinated by it that I attempted to alter the trajectory I was on professionally (although I really didn't know what that was at the time) to focus on becoming a Bitcoin developer, despite having no background in computer science whatsoever.

I embarked on this path, learning how computers work and how to code. However, it felt like trying to force a square peg into a round hole. My fixation was on figuring out what I could do for Bitcoin, but this was the wrong approach. I have been building towards something unrelated to computer science; I just wasn't sure what it was and, to be honest, I still don't. But I know that if I try to force myself into something I wasn't made for, everything I've been building would be for nothing.

The question then became: what can Bitcoin do for me? How can I use my skills to continue building something using Bitcoin as a tool? Ultimately, Bitcoin will grow into every facet of our lives, so why not continue what I am doing and integrate Bitcoin into it? I would benefit, Bitcoin would benefit, and hopefully, everyone else will too.

I am going to start a proof of work project. This endeavor may evolve into something different from what I am envisioning right now, but I intend to share the building blocks with all of the amazing people here on #nostr. This will be a long-term plan. Many may not notice or care about what I am doing, but my goal is to look back and understand how I progressed from where I am now to where I aspire to be.

I’LL DO IT ONCE I KNOW WHAT I’M DOING

Would you mind if I shared this with a group of freedom loving Bitcoiners?

Thanks for the info. Are you a veteran yourself?

Let those folks there in Knoxville know there is a nation wide Bitcoin Veterans group! nostr:npub1qktts9naunvjdwsktq5xjdhwh539xt4x0mqj4yxq0q9dvm03ljvs6sms0r

I’m putting together a list of Bitcoin meetups that vets/AD attend.

The idea is to publish the list on the nostr:npub1qktts9naunvjdwsktq5xjdhwh539xt4x0mqj4yxq0q9dvm03ljvs6sms0r website so vets can find meetups that might have other vets in attendance.

If you’re a vet & want your meetup added to the list, DM me/comment & share!

Heart for lunch, liver for dinner.

Always be sure to wear your Bitcoin socks while cooking.
