5k with the #dogstr this morning. Dropped her off and did another slow 10k in the hills. A bit rocky so it was easy going. Glad #dogstr wasn't with. I had to do some climbing.
Small town chatter you hear while at holiday parties with your new neighbors. Kind of explains a lot of things. Met Sheriff Roscoe, Semper Fi about same age as I. Actually net him once or twice before. But he was in civies. So was unaware. Coffee shop owner. Been going there for a few months now.
Everyone in town wants to know, well who is this new tenant. All usual paper trail comes to an dead end. Is he another Duke Boy? Here to start that same nonsense again?! We don't need that in this town. New tenant pretty much keeps to himself. After 6 months they still know little about him and his dog. They know all about the orphan dog. But not much of anything else.

That narrative always ends the same way. But high time preference mind set creates an obvious blind spot to the average person.
House is gutted out and completely rebuilt. The barn is knocked down and replaced with a nice sized garage. New tenant moves in and finds a dogo on the property thats been a cared for (by a friend of the family) for about 9 montha on behalf of the one brother in the clinker.
This family friend hands new tenant a letter about this dogo. New tenant decides to keep the dogo as his own.

Their farm was assaulted by a neighboring rival family. The meth lab in the barn was blowed up in the process. Two died, one landed himself in the clinker. Three months later the farm is auctioned off and bought by some private company being managed by a city law firm on behalf of an unknown beneficiary.

The earlier in life they get it into your mind, the harder it is to flip that apple cart over. And some might say, in most cases the masses never do unlearn it.
I began that rejection stage when I was about 16 or 17. It's been downhill ever since. Or was it a spiritual ascension/understanding 🤔
Basically began forging my own path about that age.
Oh it's done. The workstation has been shut down. Keeping the biz line open until the team shuts down. Probably in the next 20 minutes or so. I don't want them sticking around bc I was still on line.
The way I see it is that it's easier to eat the meat and leave the bones. In public schools, it's a melange of lab food.
I get where your coming from. But we turned out alright. Mostly.....sometimes. 🤣😂😅
Military is also a good option IMO.
Our family did Catholic schools. And mini me went to one too. I think better then public schools. But definitely a lesser quality then when my sisters and I went. We had a class called penmanship. Seems like an insignificant thing. But it's not.
20-40 years ago, I'd suggest Catholic school if home schooling was not a viable option. But I don't know what that's like these days.
The tool box is old and so is their playbook and we know it. We're just waiting for "the rest" to see it for what it is.
Thinking it's about that time to start stopping work👀 And let the holiday weekend begin.
