A relay is just a server that stores notes. What makes NOSTR decentralized is that anyone can start a public or private relay for backing up notes so if a big relay gets shut down your notes can still be saved and you can continue to use NOSTR and connect with people on new relays. The more relays you add the more you can expand your network although it seems if you have too many relays added it can slow down a client app.

Nah for real now, if you are using primal, fill the NIP05 field. NIP05 is your "Nostr address" you can use instead of your long string npub, in a readable form, for others to search you. I think it's given to you by default in Primal (I can be mistaken), or look for a 3rd party service like Nostrplebs.com
