I’ve often wondered if it was a generational thing or a me thing. I prefer text on the internet. I enjoy podcasts and TikTok and YouTube and any number of now-streaming mediums. But when I want an answer to a question, I want to read it, and I want to find supporting texts. [elder GenX]

Paused the reading of a trilogy to read a different trilogy. Having finished the second, I’m returning to the first while engaging another work. As one does.
The back door of my house faces south, and while my property is surrounded by trees, there aren’t any on my lot. This affords a decent view of the southern sky, which I adore. I’m grateful each night the clouds (and my corrective lenses) allow me to spot moons and constellations and planets.
Engadget has been dead to me for a long time.

Welp. Two hours, a deductible, sales tax on the retail price, a screen protector, a case and a cable later, I can post from my phone again.
Just killed my phone pretty good. I fell down the stairs and it was in my hand that broke my fall. Can’t trade it in, so I will deal with my carrier in the morning to see what can be done.
Wore my kilt again this weekend, outside and everything, too. I’m already thinking about the coming Renaissance Festival and how I want to present myself. And I found the regional company that made the kilt i bought last year: Highland Kilt Company.
