I have a few big snapchat streaks, I know the feature itself is a dark pattern but it do be interesting regarding the psychological effects of the hourglass
I'm considering a similar feature for close friends, but I'm still not sure if this is a pattern worth repeating.

The way I store FediDB data means I can regenerate stats using the original dataset without any loss of data or stats, so don't worry about that! #fediDB

It's easy to see the negatives of social media, but we're literally building the ideal version
The work we are doing now could live on for hundreds or thousands of years, don't underestimate your impact

Not to sound like a broken record, but you gotta watch out for suspicious instance growth
Spam accounts can give the impression that platforms or servers are growing faster than they are, and if not handled, can indicate a lack of proper moderation
A good rule of thumb is to use the MAU count, age of the instance, monthly post count and user count if you are in doubt
Spam is beneficial to devs but not users 😉
