To be clear, the highway is now buried. Which is less ideal than outright removal, but better than staying at the surface. Freeway removal > bury freeway > freeway running through the surface level of the city.

The country of Luxembourg has both a smaller population and land area than Rhode Island. Luxembourg has free transit and runs nearly 400 free bus routes and Rhode Island runs 66. Rhode Island leaders need to fund transit, full stop.
