In 2018, RIDOT planned to demolish the Crook Point Bascule Bridge, but the city of Providence and preservationists saved it as a "landmark". The city is now seeking proposals for converting it into a park. What are your thoughts on this?

The Crook Point Bascule Bridge was constructed in 1908, connecting Providence's Union Station to Eastern RI and MA via the east side rail tunnel. Since its abandonment in 1976, it's been in an upright position.

The island of Manhattan has a larger population than South Dakota and Vermont, combined. Together, those states have 96,193 more miles of roads as well as 3x more cars than Manhattan, but sure, concrete jungle very bad.
