Finally wrapped up Zelda EOW. I probably did about 90% of everything, but I didn't see much purpose in tackling the remaining side quests. The game is great, though the combat can feel pretty sluggish. It definitely encourages you to interact more since otherwise you just end up spamming the strongest monster you have at any given time, and that gets boring rather quickly.
It’s also kind of disappointing that each echo only falls into two categories: combat and movement. The beds are pretty OP, and they're really the only thing I can think of that has any usability outside those two cases. Could have more possibilities instead of relying on the accessories and smoothies.
Now that it’s out, can we please stop asking for Zelda as the protagonist? She’s never been useless after the first two games and maybe two other games. She’s always had her own moments of heroism and usefulness, and there’s no reason for her to take Link’s spot when she’s already a wizard with the power of light.
