If I can suggest anything, is to look into how devs complain that GOG is unsupportive and complicated to deal with if you want to publish your games there. While itch.io is fairly easy.

Saw that claim about Mario and Peach being “just very good friends.” Nintendo said the same thing about Zelda and Link, which literally doesn’t make sense for some of the Zelda games. Skyward Sword even has romance dialogue options, for crying out loud. I guess it's just Nintendo wanting to put up a family-friendly image or maybe it has something do to with the movie adaptations.

I've been digging into the artists behind the Trails series, and I'm honestly confused about why Falcom keeps the identities of the character portrait artists under wraps (or maybe it's because the artists requested anonymity). If I’m not mistaken, the original releases had artwork by You Shiina (who’s been drawing for Honzuki no Gekokujou/Ascendance of a Bookworm), but it seems like things shifted to Haccan somewhere along the way. (and some places say they worked together)
The original portraits made in-house were so lovely and really set the tone of the game. The modern ones, though, kind of have that weird generic vibe that artists like Nagi Ryou and others have been helping spread lately. (Which I refuse to believe that’s just the “current day art style” in contrast to the styles of the 80s, 90s, and 2000s.)
