What a story of generational trauma overcoming such trying adversity to where Ketanji Brown Jackson is a Supreme Court Justice. What a story of coming full circle to serving justice to those who disrespect the Rule of Law and Human decency in general.
I originally took these photos when Justice Jackson was initially named Justice of the Supreme Court. I was going to post them back then, but I got busy. I thought I might as well post them now. We can actually consider Justice Jackson the 2nd black justice to join the Supreme Court.
Supposedly Clarence Thomas is a Black Justice of the Supreme Court however he’s been co-opted by the Right Wing extremist. Republicans sent him to the high court as a Token black man. He has always ruled against the laws that benefit the black community and a “conservative” who follows his Conspiracy Theorist wife Ginni Thomas that supports Qanon. Thomas is a white man trapped in a black man’s body, dorm Irving I hope that Justice Jackson can lead to open positive dialogue about the positions of the. I love hanging my Campbell’s Tomatoe soup again.

OSHA only fined the airline $15,625 and didn’t bring punitive damages towards anyone who was responsible. Where is the accountability? Courtney was an essential worker taken for granted when she should have been considered indispensable!!! Congratulations to the 2023 NBA Champions…the Denver Nuggets!
They were the #Best team to win this year’s NBA championship and they deserved it! They put in the hard work year round being the number 1 team to beat and they made it to the end of the NBA season with the W! It was amazing to watch their skill level dominating all the teams that they came across toppling them down one by one. They have a team Captain Nikola Jokic who is a phenomenal center with capabilities that I haven’t seen in many other centers. Their earnest coach Michael Malone worked intensely hard for so many years and he did it with this Denver team that had the winning elements that came together to be greater than the sum of the parts of each individual player. It’s a winning strategy to have all these great players achieve what they did by the end of the season.
Gotta give it up to the Miami Heat for making it all this way from being the 8th seed in the Eastern conference. They extended their season far better than anyone’s expectations! I’m glad to hear that they still will have their core players coming back for more battles on the court.

The Large High Altitude Air Shower Observatory (LHAASO), designed to capture air showers, accidentally caught an image of the brightest supernova ever witnessed by humans. Researchers named the recent gamma-ray burst BOAT (brightest of all time).
This is according to a report by Ars Technica published on Friday.
LHAASO was taking data on air showers when the BOAT supernova erupted, allowing the telescope to record not only the onset of the event but also its evolution for days afterward. The result was a significant amount of data: the first 100 minutes saw over 64,000 photons detected at energies above 200 giga-electron volts.
From this information, scientists were able to extrapolate that the lower energy events of the supernova are caused by the jets interacting with the turbulent debris of the gamma-ray burst. They further deduced that debris would be both complex and near the source of the jets, effectively limiting how much space particles in the jets have to build up speed.
The BOAT supernova also witnessed a sharp drop-off of high-energy photons believed to be a result of the widening of the jets as they get further from their source. From this, researchers could speculate that the BOAT was as bright as they observed it because the central core of its jet was pointed directly at Earth, reported Ars Technica.

Supernovas occur when stars die, their long lives ending with an explosion in their final stage. Supernovas are believed to be essential and are thought to be one of the sources of elements heavier than iron in the universe. This material is then expelled across space, where some of it falls down on Earth, spreading far and wide on the planet.
Therefore, supernovas are both destructive and an act of creation as they are the primary source of heavy elements in the universe. In a galaxy the size of the Milky Way, it is expected that a supernova will explode nearly every 50 years.
We have much to learn about supernovas, and this accidental discovery will go a long way in helping to inform what truly happens during these gamma-ray bursts.
