"i don't have any cash on me at the moment"
"that's alright, we take bitcoin"
and
"do you take card?"
"no but we take bitcoin"
were 2 real interactions I had
Honey is one of the great beasts that modern capitalism has yet to vanquish. It just seems inherently not economically viable to produce.
And yesterday, we accepted Bitcoin for it (alongside a discount of 15%)
Had a random dental appointment for a wobbly tooth, turns out it's fine but also I need 2 fillings somewhere else entirely. Unrelated advice follows:
- Get a dental checkup if you haven't in like 4 years (probably goes for opticians as well), before 2 fillings turns into 5 or 6
- Make sure to get those pesky fuckers at the back which you have to contort the toothbrush at weird angles to hit
- If the dentist offers to yank out a tooth for you, it's probably a good idea; they'll give you some anaesthetic spray and you won't have to deal with eating only with one side of your mouth for another week
- They aren't fooled if you just brush your teeth reeeaally well right before an appointment lmao
- If your water isn't already fluorinated, join a local campaign for it to be

Fun fact: Most duvets instantly become non-euclidean upon turning off the lights in the room they inhabit. This is called the Lobachevsky Long-Edge Effect and has perplexed and puzzled sleepers for millenia.
Seemingly every HN thread has someone knowledgeable/experienced at the top of it. The only platform where "experts in the comments section" might not be sarcastic
Can we have a moment to praise LibreTexts? Thanks

Here's a few, don't check them out, they are a massive rabbit hole.
