How do you generate shortened links to posts, such as #nevent1qqsqq? Do you use any special clients?

I haven't been able to build Gossip for Mac yet, so I'm using Snort.
I couldn't generate this shortlink from any client I know of (Snort, iris, Damus), so I asked you directly.
Nostr's functionality is client-dependent, so I often come across features I don't understand.
