are njump links supposed to generate previews ? Never seems to work for me. nostr:npub1uvl7vhclmezvdhqha6eclkksln40rjhgwgsggvew683jf93fr4pq3mq3sd mentioned they need to be fast to render or else they won’t show up. Is that the issue? I am going to take a stab at building something like njump for damus links. Will use nostrdb and rust.

Quite weird, Njump expose standard opengraphs and I never had any problem with preview in Telegram and other clients. I just did a test (Damus on macOS) and it worked fine.

If you open the links the is the page load immediate?

The only additional payload is the text-to-image preview (that occuours only in some situations) that is generated the first time a note is shared. But should be a sub 300ms response.

On another your note in this discussion i read:

> iOS makes the previews not me. Its apples standard preview thing.

So maybe IOS has a really low timeout and it is also a geo-location iusse, as nostr:npub1hlq93jdtkfg29a8s7fqzzzh82q3pkc20rxucwt4geh6e56wk3y2qxdz5wg pointed out?

Btw, njump.me server is in Europe.

I’ve seen it take several seconds to load. I want to have profile pictures in there so it will take a decent amount of caching to make it work fast.

Just deployed a experimental fix that caches the og text images. Please open a njump link (to fresh the cache) and then try to share it.
