Great article!
I'm debugging some markdown stuff, can I ask why some images are surrounded by < >?
If I'm not wrong it is not the first time I see this format around, but it doesn't seem a standard syntax.

Hi, thanks!
It’s an alternative version to using the
‘’’

‘’’
which is just simpler and supported by Habla’s MD syntax.
Just opened blogstack and see that all the images and naddr event links are broken there. Where did you read the article (and which one lol) I’m replying to your note on Damus now.
#[3], please remind which MD syntax you are using.
I'm using https://euangoddard.github.io/clipboard2markdown/ to convert docs. Works quite well for Habla, but apparently not for other editors. E.g. to display and image it uses <> instead of ![](), so on blogstack instead of images i get
Looking for a better solution as we speak.
I guess I should go back to the classic ![]() format
Sorry for the delay Tony!
I discovered the problem because I'm helping in the development of https://github.com/fiatjaf/njump, that now also support long form content:
Now you don't see any problem, but is merely a "regex coincidence" that I causally hit and decided to keep because should not give problems :)
I never heard about the < ... > syntax, I would suggest to use the standard one or the "url only" simplified version that every client already use for short notes, so presumably it is supported also in the long format.
PS: I encourage you to use https://nostr.com/
Bonus point: it is search engine friendly, so the article is proper indexed and we can attract more people on nostr!
