πŸ“’ Wrote a new app to send notes LATER

https://nostrit.com

If you're familiar with my psbt.io site, this is like that, but for nostr

(and yes, I reused the gorgeous UI)

Great!!! πŸ€™

But will relays accept an event with a created_at set too far in the past? And where will clients show this sort of events in their timeline?

no, they will not; typing up a long note explaining this part since it's quite interesting imo πŸ˜‰

As author of NIP-22, I’m interesting to see what you’re doing 😎

Please tag me to alert about it, thanks!

Doesnt that punch a hole in the whole β€œback up your notes” idea?

I think paid relay will allow to push historical data when there will a way to certificate the note posting (ex. using opentimestamp); this will become the standard to trust the date's autenticity of a note.

The ones that enjoy chaos will πŸ˜‚

Hehe, I’ve already used this to backdate notes and troll some ppl πŸ˜‚

reminds me of forging SMTP envelopes when I was a kid to mess with friends πŸ˜‚

A while back, there was a note backdated so far that it was pinned to the top of the timeline on most clients πŸ˜‚

*Frontdated

πŸ˜‚

I thought about trying that but then feared that it would work

glad I didn't try it πŸ˜€

It probably still would πŸ˜‚

A lot of jokes and "I already said that before you"!

πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

I foresee a new type of memetic technical analysis

Preventing this was literally my motivation for NIP-22 πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
