As much as I do agree with the Australian social media ban for under 16s (kids should spend less time on their devices to be honest), #nostr does fix this in Australia.
What say you #austriches ?

Can we stop calling it a ban? There is still no punishment for children, or more crucially parents, if kids use social media. This is extortion of social media *companies*, a sort of pseudo tax, to be applied selectively. The kind of thing you do when you're broke & desperate.
Government has no job to parent our kids?
Have you considered how they going to know u16 is accessing social media?
The "how" reveals the true motivation, which has nothing to do with protecting kids or anybody else.
Lots of people can agree that we shouldn't allow kids to access X under 16. It's just not the government's job to make that happen. It starts in the home with a good set of family values.
