I can almost understand your sentiment around government. Switzerland puts on a good show of democracy on the surface of it all, and things mostly work there. But if you are brave enough to dig a little deeper, I think you may find that your little utopia is actually the belly of the beast.
That aside, the notion that such a thing as democracy actually exists in Europe or... anywhere actually, is quite laughable. The level of authoritarian regulation imposed on humans all around the world, has reached such a level that something has to crack very soon. No thinking human wants war. No thinking human wants to be taxed, or to live in a fiat world of perpetual slavery. People from all walks and cultures just want to be left alone to get on with life, but the so-called democratic governments simply won't allow it. On the contrary, they go to great lengths to contrive division so that you and I can be led to have arguments online, and to run off to the election polls to endorse their system of control over us, and their bombing of other people's homes.
As long as there are politicians, there will be division. They cannot exist without it. And as long as there are governments, there can be no democracy. Not in Russia, not in Europe, Switzerland, the USA or darkest Africa.
What is going on in Ukraine is largely theater at the expense of the entirely expendable Ukrainian and Russian people. Through it, the politicians and their allied military industrial complexes only get richer and more powerful, while innocent people are bombed and shot and burned. They dont care.
We should not fall for their tricks by arguing with one another. Humans the world over should unite to reject the scum whether in Moscow, Kiev, DC, Tel Aviv, Brussels or Bern.
