While nostr does work with tor, it can be a challenge to actuallly make it usable.

The issue isn't speed, but rather the limited support for tor among clients and the need for an #outbox .

I'd love to know if there are others - I am haing hard time finding them

Using #Start9 with #nostrudel works in the #torBrowser, but as far as I understand it does not do #outbox(?)

Tor relays like #nerostrator work well, but only if both the sender and audience are using a tor (and #outbox).

Running #haven on a torified system can help

- it will #blastr notes to both clearnet and onion relays

- it will find related notes on both too

However, #blossom needs to run on clearnet for media to be visible, and DMs will only be received from tor users with outbox protocol unless subscribed to a clearnet relay.

I hope Nostr will adopt #onionrouting as a standard soon and also stop handicapping tor relays by design.

I will keep running #nerostrator even then; privately, anonymously and without a clearnet domain.
