Is there a good FOSS keyboard? the one I have has weirds issues when using Amethyst when deleting words and whatnot.

Ya the native keyboard is terrible with Amethyst. I’ve had good luck with FlorisBoard

I use Florisboard for swype functionality okay, most AOSP based keyboards unfortunately have the issue.
