We agree, though I also happen to think that when comparing species "most adapted" == "best". What other metrics do you use to judge "best" for species?

"Best" might include "most adapted", but can also be the strongest, most intelligent, or the most well-designed species. It depends on the reader's interpretation.
I just don't like the imprecision of the word.
