Another reason to run code from source is that you can run the cool branches that are being actively developed and play with features that are not a part of the main release yet.

This is what I found when spinning up lnbits in containers and VMs.
There’s so much more you can do, like, once I figure out how to connect other lnbits instances to my lnd node as a funding source so payments flow without them needing to open channels, I’m really going to have fun with it.
My community will prosper & I won’t be running their instance for them, so still “self hosted” on their end… maybe 🤷🏾♂️
