With the amount of backend stuff that would be required, I'd love to see a gossip style relay setup for a backend server that interfaces with mutliple UI's for it.

I can see it happening, Iād imagine a client can make the interface for it and the individual running the community would just self host the relays š¤·š½āāļø
yes. you'd need to whitelist for write and read queries to keep it "private" to only authorized users that are part of your ecosystem/community.
