Could an ideal world look like this, that all sort of data collection is illegal by default. The only legitimized way to collect data about someone is after an optional opt-in of the person.
So every service has the right, to serve ads, which allows them to have a business model similar to any paper newspaper. But it is illegal to collect and process any data by default.
