Signal is a great solution to make a first step from centralized surveillance economy monopolies like Messenger, Whatsapp and Telegram.
I hope Signal will be part of the privacy movement also to support private communication byond Signal, forward to decentralized solutions.
Maby Signal can provide Nostr Servers one day 😉
All traffic of the SignalApp goes over the Clouds of Amazon,Google,Microsoft & Cloudflare - they only talk about "third partys"!
I think it is reasonable, that they look for a responsible use of the money they get, to use cost effective Servers.
When the protocol works as intended, the owners of the servers will still not be able to easily link the users.
