Defnitly true. Most important is that whoever holds power accepts free speech in order to adapt to failures.

But also every single person has the power to do something. So we should not only request freedom of speech. But learn also the freedom to listen and learn. Since this is kind of the other side of the coin.

And since many people consume more than they produce, this could even be the more important part of it 🫵

That is actually a pretty nice insight. Does every freedom as a counterpart that is a responsibility?

Physical freedom ➡️ responsibility to support others

Freedom of expression ➡️ responsibility to listen

Freedom of thought ➡️ responsibility of ??

Freedom of identity ➡️ responsibility to mentor/guide??

I think not every right has a direct opportunity that comes with it.

But I think it is important while requesting rights, to not hinder others from accessing those same rights.

But listening and questioning my views I would rather see as opportunity than responsibility. I can probably go with what I know today. But I also know that every person that will be open to learn will outsmart and outgrow me as a consequence of that.
