I'm sorry but I have to point out how 1984 doublespeak this situation is right now

and as Iran launches precise strikes with small explosions on military targets https://x.com/WarMonitors/status/1841170806187180212

CNN complains that Mossad HQ is surrounded by civilians https://x.com/SarkastikB/status/1841168009177468992

... why doesn't he say that Israel is using civilians as human shields to protect Mossad HQ?

It is pure fucking willful blindness and hypocracy, wildly obvious and insane to the degree that I cannot for the life of me understand how some people on nostr still think Israel makes a good case for itself.

Iran is not killing civilians. Hezbollah wasn't killing civilians (they were depeating the Iron Dome and hitting sensor arrays). Israel is slaughtering civilians, taking out city blocks. If there is such a thing as good and evil, it is patently clear which one is evil.

people who are pro-Israel are either Jews or have Dementia.

vast majority of government, media and influencers are Jews.

vast majority of Republican Voters have Senile Dementia.

Democrat voters are against Israel but Democratic party ignores them the same way as Republican party ignores Republican voters who are against immigration.

Everything in American politics is some kind of mix of Jewing, Childishness, Senility and for those who manage to avoid the above pitfalls there is gerrymandering and disenfranchisement of some sort.

All in all a well oiled machine that converts taxes into genocide.

Well, maybe both are evil? Iranian missiles also killed civilians. And both actions don't justify to obliterate nations or blow up the world in nuclear Armageddon but somehow that feels like it's right around the corner.

I'm not going to pretend Iran is a good country without serious serious problems. Maybe they killed civilians. But I heard from an Israeli news source that only 2 people had minor injuries from Iran's attack. Did that get updated?

Iran clearly is trying to do the most limited response it can under Article 51. It cannot just be attacked and not respond, that is military suicide. Buit it doesn't want a war. It wants friendly relationship with the USA. It wants a new nuclear deal and sanctions lifted. Netanyahu is determined to scuttle anything like that.

Also, if the USA is not responsible for the military actions of Ukraine, then Iran is not responsible for the military actions of Hezbollah.

I listened to much of the first episode and I think he really get into the shoes of the people whose story he tells. I was very impressed. I don't recall anything he said being wrong, but he did certainly defer counterarguments when he was telling it from the side of the Jews.

But I haven't listened to the whole long thing yet. Thanks for reminding me.

It will truely be only historical though, he doesn't go beyond 1949. And the recent events are far more interesting to me.

I’m finishing up episode 2 on my re listen, a year after first listening, following the hamas attack last year.

His history telling is enlightening and honoring of human beings on “all sides”.

The Zionist conflict is complicated … and messy… and really has brought out the worst in humanity.
