It's Nstart, not Njump :)

1) I don't know how to make more clear right now, it is written, two times: "We offer you the possibility to copy the full following list of some Nostr users, so you can start your Nostr journey with a feed full of posts from already curated individuals." + "See the same things these Nostr users are seeing in their feed".

I understand that with this kind of UI the user expects to follow users, not their contacts, but even if you misread it's not a big issue having 500 followers, you can remove them as soon you find them not interesting.

2) Optimistically speaking every non-web client should support *only* ncryptsec. However Nstart will have a companion app to manage this stuff.

3) I don't have stats yet, I'm planning to collect some data anonymously.

4) Please open an issue with the iphone model / IOS version and possibly the qrcode.

5) I don't know any resource about that, it's definitively needed.

6) It's in development, see point 2.

1 bis) Btw, this is not be the final version, I will move towards a more "topic centric" (e.g. starter packs) solution.

"topics" = blergh

Haha. I need to find a better name that does not trigger you.

Maybe "Interests".

I called it ”find your people”

That's even worse.

Why?

On 1)

Instead of the current text state the outcome:

If you have 5 npubs selected “follow 500 of these people’s follows contacts”

If you have 3 npubs selected

“follow 300 of these people’s follows”

Things are a little more complex. When you select some people, their contacts are merged, randomly shuffled and then capped to 500 (too avoid a too long list). So I cannot just show the count; with one or two contacts, the max is already reached, and the user would find the thing weird. I could find out an alternative way (e.g. 100 random contacts per user), but I don't think we have any big blocking issue here (indeed, giving the count might raise doubts about who to select and so create friction), and anyway it is temporary.

How about a real

Time “follows counter” as you opt into to copying follows.

Each time you hit “follow follows of npub” the follows counter increases by 100, or whatever you math returns
