In general I hardly think they exist. "they" are most probably unrelated groups and individuals, which try to get me working to their good.

I would argue it is always importent to be concious in what I do and define the purpose myself.

Probably there is not even a us. I think there is extorted individuals and those who try to extort others. In many cases there is no group that is always one of these sides.

Best we can do is focus on the good we can offer to us and our peer group. The rest is individual story telling.
