If you mis-click on YouTube, you cannot go back. It changes your suggested videos and the one you meant to click on is now gone. 😢

its like an episode of black mirror
The suggested feature is nice but i'm sure they optimize for view time and whatever serves the most valuable ads. This may coincide with what you actually like but this is just another example of google making you the product.
I went from an addon to remove everything but the video I wanted to watch (to remove distractions) to years of going through various proxies, to now (mostly because of invidious crackdown) using yt-dlp to just download what i came for and stop trying to steal my attention.
I can't believe that in freaking 2024 they can still be this big and basically the only useful video site around.
on PornHub even if you click correctly it just takes you to an AD and then you can never find the video you clicked on again
this is deliberate to make sure you spend more time on the site searching but never actually finding what you want
the more time you spend on the site the more money they make on ads
on dating sites they have fake accounts of hot women that message you when you sign up and then stop - this is to give incels hope that somebody might actually talk to them if they just keep trying ...
IT IS ALL PURE EVIL
I've had this happen many times and I think I always have the same videos there. Do you use Premium? If not, I wonder if it has something to do with ads or some related thing that I don't have. I suppose it could also be a browser thing. Maybe my browser isn't reloading the page or scripts somehow?
I know the feeling... But sometimes its still there weirdly enough
This needs to be fixed on all algos. Back button should take you back to the exact page you were looking at. Standard design practice.
