I placed the Pixel 7a on a chair with the seat slightly tilted, 40 cm fall, broken screen. How can these phones still be so fragile? Damn.

Well, I actually dropped it several times with little damage, maybe it was just an unlucky landing (flat on the screen, on a bumpy outdoor tiles floor).
Fun fact. I decided to put the phone on sale in a local second-hand web site; in one hour I received 4 requests and all asked me the IMEI "to check the warranty and eventual known defects". I obviously dismissed the requests for security reasons, but the thing was rally weird and soon I discovered the reason. Google is recalling some phones for a problem with the battery.
Since where I live there are not Google's official repair centers, they simply give you back $436, and you can also keep the phone!
So all these people were looking for used/broken phones to grap the free credit.
Well, my phone is entitled for refund :)
Do you have a Pixel7? Give it a check!
PS: In the meantime I switched to an old Pixel 4a, and I absolutely love the form factor to bad they didn't keep it.
