The signal is not in 'how many' people/npubs follow someone, but in 'who' follows someone:

WoT > followers count

i think we've all hopefully learnt from legacy social media that accounts with high follower counts and accounts recommended by platforms are often the worst on the platform. Nostr seems no different in this regard.
